Texting with Sting
A new way to connect
Did you receive a text message from our helpful mascot, Sting? We hope so! We promise it isn’t spam. As part of a new initiative and a partnership with EdSights, Sting will send you texts throughout the semester asking about your experiences as a student. Your responses to these texts will help us answer your questions, address your concerns, and support you on your journey at Nevada State.
Get the answers you need
Sting is powered by an AI Chatbot that knows a lot about Nevada State and its students. You can ask Sting anything you’d like. Also, Sting never sleeps or takes days off, so you can ask a question at 3am or on a weekend if you’d like.
And the support you deserve
Typically, Sting will check in with you every 1-2 weeks. Most of the time, your responses are a single number – where 1 is the best, and 4 is the worst. If you need help, Sting can direct you to resources on campus that are designed to help students be more successful. Also, if you have a serious issue, Sting can connect you with a real person on the Nevada State campus.

Why are we sending out these text messages and asking for your feedback?
That is a great question! We hope to make it quick and easy for you to communicate with us about your experiences and get any assistance you need.
