Nevada State University Celebrates 2025 Commencement on May 10

Nevada State University will celebrate its 2025 graduating class during its commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, at the Thomas & Mack Center. With 869 graduates earning degrees, this is the second-largest graduating class in the university’s history. Degrees will be conferred in a variety of concentrations, including nursing (more than 315), education (195), and liberal arts, sciences, and business (more than 365).

Additionally, Nevada State will award honorary degrees to former U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada and former Speaker of the Nevada Assembly Jason Frierson, educational advocate Marydean Martin, and President and CEO of The Perkins Company and former Speaker of the Nevada Assembly Richard Perkins, who will also provide commencement remarks. Perkins was instrumental in passing the legislation that led to the establishment of Nevada State.
