Convocation vs. Commencement

Convocation, unlike commencement, marks a beginning rather than an end. It welcomes our students into the academic discourse community and sets the tone for our faculty and staff, inspiring our collective work throughout the year.

What to Expect

Date & Time:  Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Location: Rogers Student Center Ballroom (seating for 300 is available and will be filled on a  first come, first served basis).

Livestream: The event will be livestreamed and official watch parties will be held on campus in the KAB Auditorium and CEB 211/212. The School of Nursing and the School of Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Business will host the KAB Auditorium watch party, while the School of Education will host the gathering in CEB 211/212. 

Attire: Please wear black and gold attire to show your bold NSU pride.
