Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer at the Sim Center

NSU Students working toward entrance to the Pre-Licensure BSN Program at Nevada State University have the opportunity to volunteer in the simulation center. Volunteers will be offered 1 point per hour of volunteer time with a maximum of 60 points to be used on their application for the School of Nursing.

Disclosure: Student volunteers are required to complete an application for consideration and will be interviewed for placement. Not all applicants will be offered volunteer hours; placement is dependent on need and availability of hours. Hours are tracked by simulation staff. Duties vary widely but typically consist of restocking supplies, cleaning and repurposing equipment, and other duties assigned by the Simulation Team. Role will require standing, bending, and lifting. Appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes are mandatory. Confidentiality agreement required by all volunteers.
