Nevada State Welcomes Record Enrollment of More Than 8,800 Students

Nevada State University welcomed more than 8,800 students for the fall 2026 semester, marking the largest total enrollment in the university’s history.

The fall enrollment includes more than 550 first-year students, making the incoming class one of the largest in Nevada State’s history, according to preliminary data. Enrollment figures remain subject to change as the university finalizes its fall 2026 data.

“This milestone reflects the trust students and their families place in Nevada State and the opportunities they see here,” said Nevada State University President Dr. Sandra Richtermeyer. “Our faculty and staff are deeply focused on student success, creating a teaching-centered environment where students receive personal support, build meaningful connections and know they belong. As I begin my first academic year at Nevada State, I am excited to join a community so committed to helping every student find a clear path toward earning their degree.”
