Educational Opportunity Programs
Educational Opportunity Programs
Educational Opportunity Programs empower students to realize their full potential and confidently pursue a college education. Through nationally recognized initiatives such as TRIO Student Support Services, Upward Bound, McNair Scholars, and GEAR UP, we provide personalized guidance, academic support, and mentorship every step of the way—from preparing for college to succeeding in graduate study. Designed to uplift first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students, these programs open doors, remove barriers, and create pathways to lasting success.
TRIO Programs
Our TRIO programs provide personalized support at every step of the journey—helping students get to college, succeed once they’re here, and prepare for what comes next.
High School Students
TRIO Upward Bound
A program designed to ensure students are prepared to enter college before completing high school, serving families in low-income homes and which neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree.

Grad School Bound Students
TRIO McNair
A comprehensive two-year program structured to prepare undergraduates for successful careers as graduate students, professors, and professional researchers.
GEAR UP Program
The GEAR UP program helps students build a strong foundation for college success by starting early. Working with cohorts of middle and high school students, GEAR UP provides academic support, college and career exploration, financial aid guidance, and family engagement opportunities.
By creating a college-going culture and equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to succeed, GEAR UP empowers students to envision—and achieve—their future in higher education.
