Our  Vision

Guided by Nevada State University’s commitment to inclusion and social justice, the Office of Community, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion uses an equity-centered lens to support people from historically marginalized communities on campus and across Southern Nevada.

Our  Mission

Our mission is to support a culture in which all students, faculty, and staff can thrive and succeed at Nevada State University. We actively work to center the intersectional experiences and expertise of People of Color, Immigrants, and LGBTQIA2+ folks to design culturally responsive programs and initiatives that empower community members to be change agents.

Objectives

1. 1. Increase capacity in students, faculty, & staff to develop an equity lens.
   2. Co-construct spaces that enable learning, community, & critical conversations.
   3. Advocate for and center the experiences & needs of marginalized communities.
   4. Partner with offices across campus and in the community to synergize efforts.
   5. Increase access and visibility of campus and community resources to support student success.
