Biography

Heidi Batiste, Ph.D. teaches strategic and human resource management with a strong emphasis on student engagement, applied learning, and career and professional development. Her courses integrate real-world organizational challenges, undergraduate research, and experiential learning to help students connect theory to practice and prepare for meaningful careers. Her research explores workplace culture, inclusivity, mentoring, and employee experiences during periods of change. Drawing on prior professional experience in human resources, consulting, and operations management, Dr. Batiste brings a practitioner-informed perspective to the classroom and to her scholarship, which has been published in journals such as Management Teaching Review, Compensation and Benefits Review, and Mentoring & Tutoring: Partnership in Education.
