Request a Presentation or Workshop
The Career Services team is available to support classes or programs (e.g., Sankofa) to discuss career-related topics. Please complete our Presentation/Workshop Request Form and let us know in the comment section any additional details that will help us tailor the presentation/workshop to your needs. Presentation or Workshop requests from Career Services must be made at minimum 3 weeks in advance. Any requests made less than 3 weeks in advance cannot be guaranteed.
Course Assignments
The Career Services team is available to support faculty and instructors in creating course assignments that help students gain knowledge and build skills towards their future career. We can provide resources and expertise to ensure your career-related assignments are relevant, meaningful and based in current workforce knowledge and trends. We have helped to create assignments for courses in multiple programs across the institution.
Some assignments we have supported faculty with include but are not limited to:
- Custom industry interview questions for interview practice via Big Interview
- Conducting informational interviews (where to find industry professionals, what to ask, how to reflect on the experience)
- Creating and practicing “elevator” pitches

Each year Career Services partners with JCPenney at the Galleria Mall in Henderson to offer 30% off coupons that can be used to buy new career appropriate clothing and accessories. The 30% off coupon can be used IN ADDITION TO sales to increase savings!
This event is open to students, alumni, and faculty/staff. Friends and family are also welcome as long as they are accompanied by an NS student, alumni or faculty/staff with a valid NS ID.
