Eligibility For Trio Upward Bound

Target Schools

At the time of admission into the program, students must be enrolled at Basic, Chaparral, Eldorado, or Sunrise Mountain High School.

Grade Level

Students must have completed the 8th grade and not have entered the 12th grade at the time of admission into the program, and be between the ages of 13 and 19.

Citizenship

Eligible students must be U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents at the time of admission.

Family Income

Eligible students must be from either a low-income family and/or be the first generation in their family to attend college in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree.

Federal income guidelines change every year. Parent(s) and or legal guardian(s) must provide their signed 1040 form to verify income levels.

Academic Need

Eligible students must have a need for academic support and have a strong desire to enroll in and complete a four-year degree at a college or university.
