Open Enrollment for the Public Employees Benefits Program (PEBP) and Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) benefits takes place each year from May 1–31.

Welcome to Open Enrollment
During open enrollment May 1–31, 2025, benefits-eligible employees can make changes to their benefits offered through the Public Employee Benefits Program (PEBP) and Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE).
Before making changes, please review your current benefit elections to determine if you would like to make any changes.
Benefits & Retirement Fair
You are invited to attend a Benefits and Retirement Fair at UNLV May 13, 2025 from 1:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom C.
Please review your current benefit elections to determine if you would like to make any changes. Changes made by May 31, 2025, will be effective for Plan Year 2026 (July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026).
Action Items for Benefits-Eligible Employees
During the open enrollment period, all benefits-eligible employees should review the following:
Review Current Benefit Elections
View the E-PEBP Portal and Workday websites to view elections.
Review Emergency Contact Information
- Log into Workday.
- In the top right corner, select your name and then “View Profile.”
- From the top left corner of your Profile page, select “Actions” (under your name) and hover over Personal Data.
- Select “View My Emergency Contacts.”
- If changes are needed, select “Edit.”
Review Cell Phone Number (linked to StateSafe Notifications)
- Log into Workday.
- In the top right corner, select your name and then “View Profile.”
- From the top left corner of your Profile page, select “Actions” (under your name), hover over Personal Data, and select “Change Contact Information.”
- Under the Additional Phone section, add or edit your cellular telephone number. Make sure to select mobile or phone device.
- Scroll down to Primary Email section, add or edit your personal email address.
- Select the “Submit” button, located in the lower left corner, to save your changes.

Voluntary Benefits
PEBP and NSHE offer similar voluntary benefits through different vendors. Carefully read information about each to determine the best option for you.
Please note: All PEBP coverages with The Standard will end on June 30, 2025, and will automatically transition to the new MetLife plans offered by PEBP effective July 1, 2025. Employees do not have to take any action unless they want to make changes or add coverage to their MetLife plans during open enrollment.
Registration
PEBP voluntary benefits registration is completed through the E-PEBP Portal.
NSHE voluntary benefits registration is completed through Workday.
Comparison of Voluntary Products
To waive, cancel, or re-enroll in your flexible spending account, log into Workday to submit your open enrollment change by May 31.
Note: You are not eligible for this insurance if you are insured under another short-term disability insurance plan, a temporary or seasonal employee, a full-time member of the armed forces of any country, a leased employee, or an independent contractor.
