During open enrollment May 1–31, 2024, benefits-eligible employees can make changes to their benefits offered through the Public Employee Benefits Program (PEBP) and Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE).

Retirement Plans
Nevada State offers a very competitive retirement plan by matching the employees’ 17.5% mandatory contributions toward retirement.
Life Insurance
$25,000 basic life insurance is included with your health plan, and there are several options to choose from if you would like to purchase additional coverage.
Annual & Sick Leave
Nevada State offers generous annual leave, sick leave and 12 paid holidays. Accruals vary by employee type.
Medical, Dental, & Vision Care
We offer a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) high deductible plan, a PPO low deductible plan, and a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plan.
Educational Benefits
Tuition assistance at NSHE institutions is available for both employees and their dependents. Employees may take up to 6 credits per semester and dependents may take unlimited credits.

Social Events
Nevada State hosts events at our campus for our students and employees such as, Spirit Week, Karaoke Night, and many others. We believe in working hard but also taking some time out to have some fun.
