Presentations & Workshops
The Career Services team is available to support classes or programs (e.g., Sankofa) to discuss career-related topics. Please complete our Presentation/Workshop Request Form and let us know in the comment section any additional details that will help us tailor the presentation/workshop to your needs. Presentation or Workshop requests from Career Services must be made at minimum 2 weeks in advance during regular seasons and 4 weeks in advance during busy seasons (Sept, Oct, Feb, March). Any requests not made in the advanced timeframe aforementioned cannot be guaranteed.
Course Assignments
The Career Services team is available to support faculty and instructors in creating course assignments that help students gain knowledge and build skills towards their future career. We can provide resources and expertise to ensure your career-related assignments are relevant, meaningful and based in current workforce knowledge and trends. We have helped to create assignments for courses in multiple programs across the institution.
Some assignments we have supported faculty with include but are not limited to:
- Custom industry interview questions for interview practice via Big Interview
- Conducting informational interviews (where to find industry professionals, what to ask, how to reflect on the experience)
- Creating and practicing “elevator” pitches
