What is the NCLEX pass rate for the Pre-Licensure BSN program?

NSU School of Nursing maintains some of the highest NCLEX-RN first-time pass rates in Nevada: 96.03% in 2025 and 97.21% in 2024. Both results significantly exceed the national average first-time pass rate for BSN programs in the U.S., which was approximately 91.2% in 2024 and 87.5% in 2025. NSU graduates consistently outperform their peers nationally, reflecting the strength of our curriculum and student support. 

How often do you admit students to the Pre-Licensure BSN program?

This program admits students three times per year: August, January, and May. This rolling admission schedule means prospective nursing students have more opportunities to begin their BSN education than at programs that admit only once per year. Is the NSU BSN accredited?

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Nevada State University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

How much does the Pre-Licensure BSN program cost?

How long does it take to complete the Pre-Licensure BSN program?

NSU admits students earlier than many other BSN programs, meaning courses that are prerequisites elsewhere are integrated directly into our curriculum. We offer three tracks to fit diverse life needs: 

  • Full-Time Continuous Track: 20 months 
  • Full-Time with Summers Off Track: 28 months 
  • Part-Time Track: 40 months 

Is the Pre-Licensure BSN program online or on campus?

The Pre-Licensure BSN program is primarily in-person. This includes didactic (theory) coursework, skills labs, and clinical rotations, providing students with a rich, hands-on learning experience is essential for nursing practice. Clinical placements are located at partnering hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Las Vegas and Nevada area.
