Advanced Teaching Certificate Portfolio

The CTLE Teaching Portfolio is a document you will assemble to complete the final requirement for our Advanced Certification.

Note: While it shares some similarities with documentation used for 3-year reviews and tenure applications, this is NOT the same document. However, these similar documents share enough in common to where completing one can assist with completing the others.

The Process:

  1. Reach out to the CTLE at ctle@nevadastate.edu to set up a 15-20min consultation to talk about the portfolio process.
  2. The educational developer for the CTLE Teaching Academy will be the one reviewing your complete portfolio. This meeting will help you and the developer set up shared expectations for the completion of this document.
  3. The Six (6) Elements of a Teaching Portfolio
  4. Teaching philosophy statement
  5. Teaching strategies
  6. Assessment methods
  7. Response to course evaluations
  8. Statement of professional development (which should include some of the activities you did for this certificate)
  9. Artifacts of teaching and learning
