Engage with Policy

Nevada State is committed to an inclusive and collaborative process to develop and review institutional policies and procedures.
How to Make Public Comment
Any Nevada State University, internal community members with an active NSHE ID and portal access are encouraged to submit comment. All policies will have an open public comment period for a minimum of 30 calendar days, unless a shorter timeline is necessary to comply with Nevada System of Higher Education, State, Federal or Accredition. Public comments are not publicly disclosed. Once all feedback has been collected, the Department of CPP shall provide it to the Policy Development Lead within 10 calendar days.
Documents that have an open public comment period may have a varied timeframe.
This review will help ensure that policies are implementable, understandable, equitable, and accessible to our community.
To submit a public comment, locate the policy or document on the list under Policies and Documents Available for Public Comment and use the linked form. In order for comments to be considered, commenters must add their full name, title, and detailed comments. Public comments are not publicly disclosed but policy development leads may reach out to commentors if they have questions or need clarification.
