The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
The TEAS Exam is a product of ATI and is used as part of the admissions process by the NSU School of Nursing Program. The school of nursing requires a 30-day window in-between each attempt. For more information please reach out to your program advisor for more details of your program.
Retries and Attempts
If you have taken the test at NSU you will have only 3 attempts (first-time, 1st retake, 2nd retake). Attempts afterwards will have to be done through ATI or by other means.
TEAS Exam Details
The ATI TEAS exam is comprised of 170 total questions, with 209 minutes in allocated testing time. Questions types include multiple choice, multiple select (select all that apply), fill in the blank, ordered response and hotspots.
Calculators are not allowed. ATI has an integrated calculator within the exam.

Viewing ATI TEAS Results
To print results: first, click the My Results tab at the top of your account. Then click on the name of the test you wish to print. Click “Download Report” in the upper right corner of the screen. This will save a PDF of your results to your computer. Open the file from the location it was saved to on your computer. Choose Print.
Sending TEAS Transcripts
If you have taken your TEAS exam at NSU, your TEAS transcript that is included in your TEAS exam registration is automatically sent to the NSU School of Nursing.
If you have taken your TEAS exam outside of NSU, you will need to send your transcripts to the NSU School of Nursing.
Register for TEAS
NSU TEAS will be proctored remotely and in-person. Please note that the exam fee of $97 is non-refundable. Reservations are first come, first serve. Re-scheduling will not be allowed.
Students should set up an account with ATI account prior to testing.
